Description of 2017 Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir
2017 Enrique Mendoza Pinot Noir (Pinot Noir)
- View: ruby red, pale garnet rim. Intense and brilliant. thin tear.
- Nose: ripe fruit, go red as blackcurrant and blueberry notes intertwine with great minerality and red stones or graphite.
- Mouth: good structure, fine, soft and juicy with a nice tannin and happy.
VINEYARD: Vineyards located on the slopes of Cabezo de la Virgen de Villena (Alicante), following parameters for environmental sustainability.
GRAPES: Pinot Noir.
AGEING: 12 months in Allier French oak barrels, new and one year.
PREPARATION: destalked gently to try to maintain the maximum whole grains, conducting the fermentation in small stainless steel tanks.
PAIRING: duck, roasts, cheese beef, sausages, stews, feathered game and red meat sauce.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18 °C
The winery Enrique Mendoza was built in 1989 in Alfas del Pi (Alicante). Its founder, Henry, is a real wine enthusiast and planted his first vines in the 1960's. With 65 hectares of vineyards, the winery defends its position as market leader in Alicante. Henry is now accompanied by his children, Pepe and Julian. Pepe is in charge of the company's sales and commercial department and Julian dedicates himself to the art of winemaking.More about the Winery
