Bucaco Branco 2001

In the early nineteenth century, was born one of the most interesting pages of Portuguese wine, a wine that was born would become an icon, greed target, but it has always maintained, willingly, out of the limelight. Its creator, Alexandre de Almeida, imported the concept of combining the luxury hotel to a wine cellar and its own wine. Thus were born the great wines of Buçaco. Drink a Buçaco is time travel, it is a glorious drink wine, created by Alexandre Almeida, a visionary. This is a opportunity that all who enjoy wine should have, at least once in a lifetime.

I asked for advice to a friend in a restaurant.
To me this one seems darker than other wines from Bairrada. A Niepoort with the sweetness of the banana and the acidity of the pear. Woody taste.

TASTING NOTES OF 2013 Buçaco Branco:
- View: Straw yellow, I goldtone.
- Nose: aromatic, with wood still very present, notes and suggestions resin nuts.
- Mouth: full-bodied, dry, spacious and very fresh, very persistent, with some citrus.
