The origin of the Domaine du Mas Blanc is closely linked with the history of the Banyuls. Although the family is already 1685 (the revocation of the Edict of Nantes) drawn from the Loire to Banyuls, it succeeds only to the village doctor, Dr. Gaston Parcé by marriage in an old Catalan family to come into possession of vineyards. Since then, however, has helped to establish the name of Banyuls any "Parcé". His son, Dr. Andre Parcé is federfürend in the definition of the Banyuls AOC and conducts long years of national and international bodies and academies around the wine. Today, his son John Michel Parcé manages the winery and introduced in 1999 in addition to dry red wines from the Collioure a considerable range of vinegars one. However, the specialty of the house is a Solera (in catalan Sostrera), which was implemented by Dr. Gaston Parcé 1925 and continued until today. "Jean Michel Parcé has - in memory of his father - in 1998 a new wine created in the hope of young wine lovers" access to exceptional secondary flavors, which can be found in a lightly oxidized wine to ease. It is produced in a Solera technique in which multiple vintages are blended under controlled oxidation. This year seamless Banyuls is a result of Solera, based on three cohorts (Rimage) Banyuls. Medium to dark ruby with a slightly golden edge distinguish this wine from as well as his nose for fresh cedar, mocha and cigar box. Medium weight with a silky texture and it presents itself beautifully alive and packed with flavors of plums, blackberries and cream Caffee. This long-lasting, highly detailed wine has the potential to hold 20 years and longer. "Pierre Rovani for Robert Parker Aug-2000
