Michele Chiarlo Barbaresco Reyna 2016

This elegant and refined garnet coloured wine delivers delicate, complex and refined aromas, with ethereal notes of RosŽ petals and tea layered upon small red berried fruits. On the palate, it is silky and beautifully balanced with soft, fine tannins and remarkable length on the finish.

Reviews about Michele Chiarlo Barbaresco Reyna 2011

Michelle Chiarlo Reyna Barbaresco 2011
- Garnet red with orange reflections.
- Bouquet: ethereal, delicate, complex, you feel berries, green pepper and sweet spices.
- Taste: full, elegant, aristocratic.
- Serve with roasts and game, matured cheeses
- The highest expression of the finesse of wine made from the Nebbiolo grape is certainly retrievable in Barbaresco. The production of this wine is very limited, as only in positions suited the towns of Barbaresco, Treiso and Neive you can plant vineyards of Nebbiolo for its production. Michele Chiarlo always followed in this prestigious area some of the basics for the production of fine wine: choosing land suited with excellent exposure, limiting the yield per vine and follow carefully the vinification and aging. These are the only "secrets" of the quality of Barbaresco Michele Chiarlo.
- Aging: 18 months in French oak cask aging: at least 6 months in bottle

I bought it in the cellar.
The reddish brown edges were not very nice. Definitely the wrong colour, although it was an acceptable wine. In this Michele Chiarlo you can smell coffee. The 1997 tastes a little bit oily in the mouth.
