2013 Fontanafredda Barolo Vigna la Rosa (Nebbiolo)
- View: Ruby red highlights lift the deep maroon to outside.
- Nose: The nose, clear tones wilted roses, violets, snuff, underbrush, spices and a hint of vanilla.
- Mouth: Dense tannins and soft tissues begin closely, almost velvety, and then exploited on the palate with fruit.
APPELLATION: Barolo (Piedmont, Italy).
GRAPES: Nebbiolo (100%).
AGEING: The wine is aged for 24 months in oak and 18 months in bottle.
PREPARATION: The barolo 'Vigna La Rosa' Fontanafredda is produced in vineyards located in the hills of Langhe, in the heart of Piedmont. It is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and hand selected only. As vineyards live in a living ecosystem and varied soils are processed with controlled ripening techniques, without the use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides, but only of organic substances.
WINE PAIRING: It is excellent served with tasty meat dishes and aged cheeses.
