2017 Joseph Drouhin Beaujolais Morgon Hospices de Belleville
- View: purple color with violet hues.
- Nose: olfactory notes of ripe red fruits, spices and licorice.
- Mouth: The palate has a good level of acidity and mineral character. Fruity with a long and strong finish.
VINEYARD: Joseph Drouhin.
GRAPES: 100% Gamay.
AGING: The wines are fermented to the Burgundy style aged in large "parts", (500 liters) stainless steel tanks are reserved for wines issued by carbonic maceration.
PREPARATION: Part of the harvest is destemmed for a wine "Burgundy style" with punches and pumping, while the rest is vinified as a whole bunch with carbonic maceration. The slow fermentation lasts 10 to 15 days.
WINE PAIRING: Ideal for first meat dishes, roasts and poultry.
RIGHT SERVING TEMPERATURE: 17 and 18 ° C
With its 73 hectares (182.5 acres), the Joseph Drouhin Domaine is one of the largest estates in the region. It owns vineyards in all of Burgundy: Chablis (38 hectares - 95 acres), Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, (32 hectares - 80 acres), Côte Chalonnaise (3 hectares - 7.5 acres).
