Brewed by following a recipe from the 15th century, Gouden Carolus Ambrio is the only representative of a style of beer now disappeared. Higher in alcohol and more hoppy than its ancestors, it's a bottle-fermented beer which is flavored with hops from Belgium. Gouden Carolus this Ambrio both round and temperamental present in the glass a nice dress amber light copper. She dons a head of foam that is both dense, creamy and plentiful which is very persistent in the glass. Gouden Carolus Ambrio the present in the face of complex and malty aromas of ripe fruit, caramel and coffee; Hints of spice and slight herbaceous scents are also noticeable. On the palate, there are flavors of malt in a complex mixture reminiscent of ripe fruit, roasted malts and caramel. Hints of yeast evoking spices are also present in the mouth. The assembly is relatively sweet. Note that this beer can easily keep up to three years after the date of bottling. The comparison between the younger version and the aged in the cellar can be an interesting taste experience.
