The Brand

Math and physics teacher in denmark during by day, beer-enthusiast by night. That was Mikkel Borg Bjergso before he had the idea of brewing beer himself. He didn't have to wait long for success. Inspired by the American craft beer hype he and his friend, Kristian Keller, studied several books on that topic and soon developped their own recipes. In 2005, his brother opened a beer shop. That was Mikkel's possibility to sell and distribute his own brewings. The big break-through followed soon after. Today Mikkel exports his beer to 40 countries. But as he lacks of an own brewery, he approaches the famous Proef Brouwerij in Belgium for brewing his recipes.

If the brewer Mikkeller regularly treats beer lovers around the world with many innovation, his chosen field remains always that of hoppy beers. So this Mikkeller K: rlek brewed at De Proef goes perfectly in this direction, proposing efficient lightweight hopping! Visually, this Mikkeller therefore a Danish beer that offers us a clear golden color, with a thin but persistent beige foam. The nose is made up of flavors on citrus, malt and pine. On the palate, the attack is soft and gives way to more fruity notes on citrus, pine and herbal notes. The final is hoppy and bitter! This Mikkeller perfectly hoppy and refreshing, is one of those beers that will leave a lasting memory, like the Orange Yuzu Glad I Said Porter!
