TASTING NOTES OF Mikkeller Monks Brew:
- Appearance: Pours a dark brown mahogany with the fuzzy head
- Aroma: Aromas of black fruits, snuff and some sweet notes.
- Body / Taste: Flavours of dark fruits and malt, touch of chocolate, a little sweetness and vanilla

Math and physics teacher in denmark during by day, beer-enthusiast by night. That was Mikkel Borg Bjergso before he had the idea of brewing beer himself. He didn't have to wait long for success. Inspired by the American craft beer hype he and his friend, Kristian Keller, studied several books on that topic and soon developped their own recipes. In 2005, his brother opened a beer shop. That was Mikkel's possibility to sell and distribute his own brewings. The big break-through followed soon after. Today Mikkel exports his beer to 40 countries. But as he lacks of an own brewery, he approaches the famous Proef Brouwerij in Belgium for brewing his recipes.More about the Winery
