You will like to know that...

The Rodenbach Grand Cru has won more gold medals and other great evaluations than most dark ales. With a longer aging process in special oak than any other product made by Rodenbach resulted in a more pronounced 'Flanders Red-Brown Beer'-style. The cool fermented ale contains 1/3 of young beer and 2/3 of beer which had already matured for two years in oak. An incredible blend which the worldwide famous beer critic Michael Jackson called a 'World Classic' and the 'Burgundy of Belgium'. Originally aimed at connoisseurs, you should drink it slowly, concentrated but relaxed. The brewing master from Rodenbach recommends to enjoy the Rodenbach Grand Cru alone or in a small group of beer enthusiasts to relax.

very subjective opinion, I found that taste is very very spicy. This would have been a wine, I would think that he had turned sour and he would have ended up in the sink.
I'm going to drink another bottle to see if I get used or not but I do not believe in redemption.

A beer like this may hold unexpected and exciting surprises even the most passionate wine making fundamentalists. A beer rigorous and extreme. The Rodenbach Grand Cru represents one beer style almost on its own. It is not as radical as my beloved Lambic Cantillon but remains, however, a decidedly original and not very easy to approach both the notes of vinegar and pungent to NOSE, above all, for his biting acidity on the palate.
It uses a combination of malts and hops very special and we rely on fermentation "mixed" top-fermenting yeast and lactic acid bacteria to accomplish this so peculiar. Of fundamental importance, then, the maturation, respecting an ancient tradition, in large oak vats, extending for 18 months.
