The brewery de l'Abbaye du Val-Dieu is a small but glorious beer of monastic origins situated in Wallonia, more specifically
mind to Aubel, near Liege. The birth of the prestigious tradition of brewing dates back to this little gem lonta-
nissimo 1216, when Cistercian monks founded the abbey. But the rise of the brewing production was not for nothing
simple and remained for many years limited local consumption due to a number of difficulties that often put in knee the welfare of the monastery, from seeds to destroy a very bad fire, ending with the expulsion of the monks during the revolution of Napoleon. Today, despite several centuries separating the current production from that that, in the Val-Dieu monastery beers preserve all the aromas and flavors of the past still being made in the scrupulous respect of ancient recipes. The brewery produces a range of beers of high quality raw materials used during the preparations for and the high attention paid by mastrobirraio in wanting to faithfully reproduce the traditional recipes abbey on which the entire production strategy of the brewery is based since its inception .
