The winery Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande surrounds over 85 hectares of vineyards in the region of Saint Julien. Complexity, elegance and longevity have always been symbol of its kinds. James Laube, from Wine Spectator, named the Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande "Second Cru First Class" with good reason.
The castle's history begins in 1686, from where it gets passed on to another family in 1925 only to end up in the hands of a third family in 2007. But eversince Maison Louis Roederer takes care of the Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande.
In the vineyards you can find 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot. The wine itself is a product of nature's incalculable forces, just as the wild character seems to be a random result of daily changing weather conditions.
Great wine which stored correctly only gets better as the years pass by, just for the good of all wine enthusiasts amongst us.
