Dow’s Port is a Portuguese company that has specialized in the production of world-class ports for more than two centuries. The best grapes from the Douro DOC are used to craft Dow’s fine collection of ports with the expertise gained from so many years in the field. With a portfolio bursting with ports of all colours and qualities, it is hard to choose just one. Dow’s Vintage Port, in particular, is famous around the world.

History

The Dow name has been providing the world with fine Portuguese ports from the Douro region for more than 200 years. This began back in 1798 when Bruno da Silva began shipping ports from Portugal to London. This shipping business was passed through the family until 1877 when Silva & Cosens merged with Dow & Co, a small, highly-regarded Port produced with a great reputation. Dow’s was chosen as the name of the new brand, which quickly became one of the leading names in port. Dow’s now forms part of the Symington Family Estates wine company, remaining a highly respected and high-quality port producer from the heart of the world-famous Douro wine region.

Dow’s Port offers a range of ports suitable for all occasions and tastes.
