You will like to know that…
Torres draws its name and inspiration from Jaime Torres Vendrell, the man who founded this Spanish winery back in 1870. Torres 10 is just one of the high-quality products in the Torres portfolio. This 10-year-old brandy is the beautiful dark golden brown that you would expect from a fine, aged brandy.
The white wine that serves as the base of this Spanish brandy is aged in the traditional method of soleras and criaderas. This method has been used to produce Spanish brandies for years. The barrels of the older product, known as the soleras, are never fully emptied. Instead, after removing the quantity needed, the barrels are refilled with younger spirit so that the characteristics of the older sibling can be passed on to the younger. This allows Torres to control the flavour of its spirits and ensures that Torres 10 will taste the same no matter when you buy it.
Torres is a name that has gained fame around the world for its superb spirits. Even the Spanish royalty have paid visits to the winery. In 1904, King Alphonse XIII visited the Torres distillery. In 1995, for the brand's 125th birthday, King Juan Carlos I went to visit them. Torres is a historic brand perfect for everyone, royal or not. Try it for yourself and see.
