Marchesi De Frescobaldi Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino 2013

4 /5

An intense ruby red in colour, the wine expresses itself through clearly defined aromas of raspberry and pomegranate, which are further enriched by elegant floral notes. On the palate, the CastelGiocondo Brunello 2013 is harmonious and well-defined wine with elegant tannins and a sapid and mineral persistence.

Me and my clients from Brunello Di Montalcino tasted it together.
Red colour followed by reddish brown. Delicious aromas of licorice and mint. Oily, unctuous.
The 2019 was more entertaining than the stew we had paired it with.

I would have accompanied it with a fatty fish. Marchesi de Frescobaldi Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino is the first wine I drank with my parents.
Burgundy colour. Pleasant smell of tea. Predominating aromas of red fruits.

I got in touch with Tenute di Toscana Distribution and they sent me to a store where they sold it.
Wonderful cherry colour and high layer. Deep aromas of violets and menthol. It was light but tasted like blackberries.
