Bogle Vineyard Merlot 2016

The Bogle Merlot has ripe fruity red wine. Intense cherry color with bright vivid tears. Lush ripe nose of black plums and smoked meat with an exotic touch. Harmonious playful texture with velvet padding mouth and a fruity soft finish. Delicious wine as a drink but also recommended for a BBQ, with steak on the grill or oriental spiced chicken, wild tomato salad or simply with a hearty burger. Bogle is certified by various bodies: Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and "Sacramento Area Sustainable Business" Certificate.

Bogle Vineyards Merlot 2016

Concentrated and full-bodied, the 2009 Merlot is a study in contrasts. Subtle and silky, yet bright and intense, this deep red wine is multifaceted. Black raspberry and dark cherry greet the nose, while the brighter fruit of ripe summer plum dazzles the palate. The toast and spice of twelve months in American oak seamlessly integrate with the tannin structure of this wine, leaving a long, lingering finish.

I bought it because a friend recommended me to.
Opaque red. Smelling it, I noticed the aromas of blackberries. It had the right astringency.

Nice red Bordeaux colour. Juicy black currant. Extraordinary flavour with caramel hints.
Good wine, but I would not take it with fish.
Everyone was excited about this bottle of wine.

It's now nearly 50 years since father and son Chris and Warren Bogle established their first vineyard on eight hectares of land near Clarksburg in California While the Bogle estate has since expanded to cover 14 different sites in the cooler areas of the Delta region near Sacramento
