VINEYARD: Bodega Oliveda. Despite the war, José Oliveda Casanovas entrepreneurs and Joana Rigau and his wife Ros managed to create this family winery in 1948 for the production and marketing of champagnes and wines, although from 1764 produced wines for their own consumption.

GRAPES: Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada

AGEING: The aging process takes place in the cellar for a period of twelve months.

PREPARATION: For this young sparkling wine is used the traditional champenoise method, taking advantage of only the must of the three varietals strictly selected grapes, holding a second fermentation inside the bottle.

WINE PAIRING: Cuisine, poultry, red meat, fish lean, lids, cheese, desserts and as an appetizer.

The Winery



In this beautiful and legendary village of the Alt Empordà Girona, is the winery Oliveda. A cellar with a long tradition of winemaking, because in the eighteenth century produced wines, even if only for family consumption. The current winery was founded in 1948 by Don Josep Oliveda Casanova and his wife Dona Joana Rigau Ros, dedicated to the production and marketing of wines and cavas.
