You will like to know that…
The 1990 harvest was distinguished by its exceptional composition and the uniform quality of the musts throughout the Champagne region. This harvest is an unmistakable example of the persistence and determination of the Dom Pérignon house, who, despite the storms of time, managed to extract the best of the best.
In 1990, after a stage of rapid growth of the vines, the Champagne region suffered harsh spring frosts and the flowering was affected by a cold and rainy climate. Buds were lost and the growth of the grapes was uneven, but persistence and faith had its rewards in the abundance of bunches and the thickness of the branches.
This, accompanied by a wise wait, was followed by a summer accompanied by a heatwave that lasted until the arrival of the generous rains in the days before the harvest on September 11th, resulting in a few musts of exceptional warmth that brought to light a full and round wine of undisputed harmony and delicate and silky flavours, with floral aromas and notes of almonds and nuts. Dom Pérignon Vintage 1990 invites you to enjoy the harmony of quality.
