Had a bottle saved for a special occasion and finally presented. The truth is that the wait was worth it, this is a subtle Dom Perignon Vintage 2002 Champagne, with very fine aromas on the nose, and mouth creaminess is something special. The bubbles are so thin that sometimes you are thinking if it's a champagne or white wine, but its smoothness makes drinking it a unique experience. Excellent

Dom Perignon Vintage 2002

4 /5

I took the Dom Pérignon with my couple in a romantic plan.
Deep colour at first sight. Light aromas of yeast and bakery. An intense sparkling.
I would be very happy if I received the Dom Pérignon as birthday present.

Dom Pérignon was the first prestige cuvée, an idea proposed by Englishman Laurence Venn. The first vintage of Dom Pérignon was 1921 and was only released for sale in 1936. Dom Pérignon is a vintage champagne, meaning that it is only made in the best years, and all grapes used to make the wine were harvested in the same year. Many champagnes, by contrast, are non-vintage, which means that the champagne is made from grapes harvested in various years.
