Description of 2013 Louis Roederer Vintage Brut Rosé
2013 Louis Roederer Vintage Brut Rosé (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir)
- View: bright pink light, fine and persistent bubble.
- Nose: fresh, menthol flavors, sour fruit, wild strawberry, raspberry, spicy, smoked, dried fruit, toasted almonds, cocoa and salt notes.
- Mouth: soft, smooth, fresh, balanced, persistent, slightly tannic saline notes, varietal notes and a long finish.
VINEYARD: Name: Cumières. Calcareous clay soil land.
GRAPES: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
AGEING: Aged for 4 years in bottle. After disgorging, enjoy a rest of 6 months in order to perfect its maturity.
PREPARATION: 33% vinified wines are wood (oak barrels). This time is not performed malolactic fermentation. To produce this Rosé, winery uses the method of bleeding after a cold maceration that may last for 5 to 8 days in liquid phase.
WINE PAIRING: appetizers and smoked salmon.
