Description of Mumm Magnum
- View: abundant but thin and elegant bubbles. A fresh layer, golden yellow, jade reflections.
- Nose: aromas of lemon and grapefruit, rich fleshy fruits like white peach, apricot and acidulous apple with freshness and liveliness.
- Boca: good entry with volume, carbonic well integrated and good acidity. Return of the aromas of the nose, white fruit (apple). persistent and tasty finish.
VINEYARD: wines from more than 100 Grand Crus and are located in 8 historic towns (Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly, Avize and Cramant).
GRAPES: 45% Pinot noir, 30% Chardonnay, 25% Meunier.
AGEING: Aged for 30 months in the bottle.
PREPARATION: Vintage is usually performed between late September and mid-October, approximately 100 days after flowering. It is performed exclusively by hand, plot by plot, bunch by bunch and employs approximately 1,000 grape pickers. The cellar master adds between 25 and 30% of reserve wines, which brings more complexity and depth to the 'coupage' end.
WINE PAIRING: hojaldres cheese and vegetables, canapes, tapas and snacks, delicate white meat and fish in creamy sauces light.
