San Felice Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "Il Grigio" 2014

Ripe and opulent with complex aromas of violets, cassis, tobacco and liquorice. Full-bodied and velvety smooth - concentrated ripe plum and dried black fruit characters are enhanced by fine tannins, beautifully balanced acidity and well-integrated spicy oak. Should improve with cellaring of perhaps 10 to 15 years.

San Felice Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "Il Grigio" 2014

The Chianti Classico Great Selection The Gray of San Felice was born in vineyards located in the town of Castelnuovo Berardenga. It is produced mainly with Sangiovese grapes and with other indigenous grapes, harvested in the second week of October. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C for about 22 days. Then the wine is aged for about 24 months in barriques for a further 8 months in bottle before being marketed. The Gray features a ruby red color. The nose opens with an intense floral bouquet, with wide and persistent hints of violet and blackcurrant and pleasant aromas of licorice and tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and well structured, with soft tannins and juicy. Perfect accompaniment to roasted and grilled red meats, is ideal in combination with cheeses.
