San Felice Il Grigio Chianti Classico Riserva 2014

4 /5

The Chianti Classico Riserva The Gray of San Felice was born in vineyards located in the town of Castelnuovo Berardenga. It is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, harvested in the first half of October. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C for 18-20 days. Subsequently a part of the wine is aged in Slavonian oak for 24 months or so, while another part in oak barrels for six months. The Gray Reserve is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with an intense bouquet of purple violets and red berries. The palate is full-bodied, austere and very harmonious. Perfect to accompany grilled red meats and roasts, it is ideal in combination with cheeses.
