You will like to know that…
Before lending his name to a cognac brand that is now known around the world, Rémy Martin started out as a winegrower. That winegrower, in 1724, decided to found his own brand and to create the first cooperative association of winegrowers to ever exist in the Cognac region. Now totalling 900 members, that cooperative continues to provide Rémy Martin with the eaux-de-vie that the distillery needs to craft its line of cognacs.
Rémy Martin VSOP Mature Cask Finish is just one of the fine cognacs offered by the brand. While it has been around since 1927, the VSOP evolved into the VSOP Mature Cask Finish in 2012. The grapes for this blend are acquired from only the finest vineyards in the Cognac region: the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. These high-quality grapes are what set the stage for the impeccable product to come.
What sets the VSOP Mature Cask Finish apart from the VSOP is the year that the product is spent maturing in small oak casks that are at least 20 years old. This extra ageing period gives the Cognac more roundness while enhancing the fruit notes. Harmonic, powerful, and elegant are just some of the adjectives that can be used to describe this iconic drink. Try a bottle for yourself and see what adjectives you can come up with.

Creation of cognac is the work of the Cellar Master. By subtly blending eaux-de-vie (water-of-life) like an alchemist, I created the Fine Champagne Cognacs of the House of Remy Martin.More about the Producer
