You will like to know that…
Rémy Martin, the brand of Cognac now known all around the world, has much more humble origins. The brand was founded in 1724 by a young winegrower, named Rémy Martin, unsurprisingly. He also managed to create the first cooperative association of winegrowers in the Cognac region, which now includes 900 members. Today, these winegrowers provide the Rémy Martin distillery with its eaux-de-vie.
To craft their cognacs, Rémy Martin only uses grapes from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne growing regions. Ugni Blanc grapes predominate these mixes, with a bit of Colombard and Folle Blanche to round out the flavour. Rémy Martin XO Excellence is just one of the many cognacs offered in the company's portfolio of flavours. This cognac is best defined by its name: excellent. A mix of up to 400 different eaux-de-vie, this expertly blended gem has a depth and richness of flavour that is only topped by its velvety texture on the tongue.
Opening a bottle of Rémy Martin XO Excellence releases the smell of summer fruit to permeate your surroundings and take you back to that magical time of year. Shining with the colour of molten copper, this fine cognac is best served alone, either neat or on the rocks. This kind of opulence does not need to be diluted or masked.

Creation of cognac is the work of the Cellar Master. By subtly blending eaux-de-vie (water-of-life) like an alchemist, I created the Fine Champagne Cognacs of the House of Remy Martin.More about the Producer
