2018 Villa Vallombrosa Première Cuvée Rosé (Cinsault and Mourvedre)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: pale pink, light notes of strawberry color. It is brilliant.
  • Nose: It's nice and fruity highlights peach, wild strawberry and floral aromas.
  • Mouth: It's cool, acidity is perceived by its citrus flavors and you can feel some fruit like peach and strawberry. It is crisp and the finish is long.

2018 - Non contractual picture. Villa Vallombrosa, one of the finest vineyards of Provence, has its origins in Roman times as evidenced by the remains found and beaten in Rome between 161-180 AD. The first vines were grown in France the Provence. The wine history of our area is two thousand years old. This vineyard has kept over time all authenticity and expression of its terroir; these vines present since the Roman Empire draw the virtues of a Triassic limestone soil mixed with influences of red earth Permian. Side dishes: appetizers, fish, salads, grilled grilled meats, soft cheeses. Temperature: 9-12ºC Domain Vallombrosa Vallombrosa Villa, one of the finest vineyards of Provence, has its origins in Roman times as evidenced by the remains found and beaten in Rome between 161-180 AD . The expertise of Villa Vallombrosa begins the harvest when the grapes of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault are carefully harvested just ripe, parcel by parcel to prepare from the vine ideal assembly for Vallombrosa Grand Vin. During a visit to the Villa Vallombrosa, you will enjoy the heart of the vineyard quality of this great Rosé, which manifest power, length and finesse that are the prerogative of the wines of exceptional soils. The expresion of its fruity and mineral aromas allow subtly accompany Mediterranean dishes in all circumstances.

Has a very cheerful colour. Very fresh smell.It wasn't at its optimal service temperature, it would have tasted better if so.
We didn't pair it well, but the wine was good.
Villa Vallombrosa, my favourite wines.
