Cadão is located in the centre of the world-famous Portuguese Douro wine region. This site has been recognized by UNESCO for its importance to world heritage. The grapes for the winery are gathered from all over the Douro region, to ensure that the different sub-regions can have its say in the wines offered. Once gathered, the grapes are brought to the vinification centre in S. João da Pesqueira, where they are processed according to traditional methods but with modern techniques and installations.

Cadão Douro 2017 is a red wine made with grapes from the Douro Superior sub-region. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz grapes are handpicked at the height of maturity to ensure the quality and flavour of the final product. After being left to mature for two years, this ruby-coloured wine is bottled and is ready for consumption.

So dark that it has hints of violet in the corners, Cadão Douro 2017 contains within it a complex mix of flavours. This true Douro wine is filled with the aromas and flavours of red and black fruit, backed up by notes of toasted bread and vanilla. Elegant and smooth with a long finish, this is perfect for pairing with red meat, cheese courses, and traditional Portuguese fare.

Had drunk every night during our holiday in Portugal the wine. Now we could leave us deliver these to Germany and it tastes just like in Portugal. Very verträglichet and not too dry wine from the Douro wine region.

Light aromas of raisins. It has a slight smoky flavour and it is very light, as well.
In this Cadão 2013, the wood dominates the wine flavours.
