2018 Carm (Rabigato and Viosinho)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: crystalline light yellow, light golden reflections.
- Nose: very fresh with citrus fruits, in harmony with light floral nuances and strong mineral notes.
- Mouth: large volume, a very long and fresh finish.
APPELLATION: Douro.
GRAPES: CODEGA do Larinho, Rabigato and Viosinho.
PREPARATION: Made with the latest technology and temperature control Toral, removing clusters that were not in perfect condition, grapes vinified with total destemming, followed by gentle crushing and maceration of the skin for about 12 hours. After this period in an inert atmosphere, pressed in a pneumatic press, followed by a rinse period must, of 24 to 48 hours. alcoholic fermentation carried out at a controlled temperature between 12 and 14º.

Red wine with reddish brown edges. It smelled of oak. It was a little too acid for my taste, although I'm aware that taste is a matter of choice.
It was served together with the appetizer.
