Papa Figos Magnum 2017

It has a dark red colour. Vanilla aromas.I noticed a kind of salty aftertaste in the finish.
It was a perfect companion for the main course.
A wine to enjoy with a friend.

Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with quality, time and art. Thus it has been since the company's founding in the eighteenth century by Bernardo Ferreira, whose formula was refined by his descendants, especially his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, known affectionately as "Ferreirinha" or "Ferreirinha-da-Régua". Under Dona Antónia, who was twice widowed, finding herself in charge of a large company, she consolidated admirably. Her entrepreneurial spirit taught her to predict, decide, create, teach and love, making her a hugely prominent, charismatic figure.

15,5 pts Revista de Vinhos - It has a deep ruby-red hue and an intense bouquet, with a prevalence of rock-rose floral notes, as well as ripe red fruits, like plum and strawberry. There are also notes of cedar, as well as of spices, a characteristic of the years of careful maturation, with delicate complexity arising out of discreet and well-integrated oak ageing. The palate also reveals ripe red fruits and has elegant body, well-integrated acidity, and fine-quality tannins, with a balanced, harmonious and extended finish.
