It is a purchase I made in the neighborhood's gourmet shop.
Typical opacity of a Caves Transmontanas. The Vértice Gouveio 2010 gave off aromas of yeast. The wine was ok.

I gave it to some friends because i had to make a gift.
A beautiful colour. The Vertice Gouveio 2008 gave off aromas of yeast. A wine with good body.
Is to be drunk with food.

TASTING NOTES:
Engaging and well-proportioned, beautiful understated fruit, good ripeness, lightweight dried plant, smoked, good volume in the mouth, full of life with firm acidity and slightly bitter pit, spicy and gastronomic end.
- Winemaker: Celso Pereira
- Winemaking: The grapes are originated in the cooler areas of the Douro, at 550 meters. After fermentation at low temperature, the wine remained on fine sediment (battonage) for 3 months in order to increase complexity. The final blend was prepared with second fermentation in bottle, according to the champenoise method.
- Grape Varieties: Gouveio.
- Food Pairing: Perfect as an aperitif, or accompanying various appetizers, oysters, salads, seafood, salads, smoked fish, cheeses.
- Store and Serve Advices: Store the bottle horizontally in a cold and dark place with constant temperature. Ready to drink now, but will develop well in bottle for 5 to 7 years. Serve at 6°C.
