Wines have been made in the region where the Castillo Perelada winery can be found since the Middle Ages. This winemaking tradition continues with the fine line of wines offered by the winery, of which Blanc Pescador is just one eye-catching and palate-pleasing example.
Blanc Pescador is a slightly sparkling wine brought to us from the fertile lands of Cataluña. This white wine is crafted in the town of Girona, which lies near Barcelona on the east coast of Spain. Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarel-lo are varieties of grapes that are normally used to craft classic Spanish cavas. Instead of allowing Blanc Pescador to reach the full bubbliness of a cava, this wine is left with just enough bubbles to be refreshing without being overwhelming.
This young white wine is a beautiful greenish-yellow with the naturally occurring bubbles gained through secondary fermentation. With a name which means "white fisherman", this wine was made next to and for the sea, making it perfect to pair with products of the sea. Its close relationship with cava makes Blanc Pescador a great option to serve alongside appetizers and snacks. Easy to drink with beautiful level of citrus, this wine is bottled sunshine just waiting for you to pop it open and enjoy.
