Beefeater is a brand of English gin produced by James Burrough Ltd and distributed by the French company Pernod Ricard. It is one of the last gin still produced in the city of London. The distillery's headquarters is located at 20 Montford Place, in the Kennington district, and covers about 9,000 square metres between offices, warehouses and production sites. The distillery houses five Carter-Head bronze stills, still used today in the production of gin.

A rare bottle of Crown Jewel London Dry Gin, originally made by Beefeater in 1993, but it was discontinued in 2009 with the introduction of Beefeater 24. A slightly different botanical selection, creates a full palate of fresh citrus, candied peels and a dash of pepper. The bird on the bottle is a reference to the ravens at the Tower of London, where the Yeomen Warders featured on regular Beefeater gin bottles stand guard. Legend has it that if the ravens were to leave the tower, the crown and Britain would fall.
