Blue Ribbon gin is a French gin made in the style of the classic London dry gins. This premium gin is put in a small still and distilled five times to achieve the award-winning final product. The BR emblazoned on the bottle with a waving strand of blue ribbon behind it stand for the name of the gin. Only the best objects in their class are awarded blue ribbons and the same goes for Blue Ribbon gin.
Once the high-quality neutral spirit is ready, it is time to add in the 14 botanical ingredients. These include a collection of the most common gin botanicals, plus some exciting additions. The classic juniper flavour is backed up by note of thyme, coriander, iris root, lemon, and allspice. The inclusion of allspice, also known as Jamaican pepper, adds a complexity and spice that is really refreshing on the palate.
There is a surprising explosion of flavours in this aromatic gin. The use of a bain-marie for the distillation of the botanicals helps to make this gin even more smooth and homogeneous. PRODUCTION DETAILS: Each of the distillation process is carried out, generally in stills, heat which can be developed either directly or indirectly. In the first case it has a rapid removal of volatiles, ie essences which condense in the coil and will become the distillate. The indirect process, however, is used by the distillery Oposit wines and other alcoholic beverages for the production of the Gin Blue Ribbon. I must say that in any gin, are aromatic botanical elements that impart a distinctive flavor to the distillate. In the case of Gin Blue Ribbon are 14 plants yielding aroma distillates one by one in a double boiler. This technique, which involves heating the volatile slowly allows you to store all essential oils without altering them. In order to obtain a pure distillate that possible, this process is repeated for as many as 5 times. At the end of the distillate is mixed with high quality London Dry Gin. GIN BLUE RIBBON: la Ginebra de toques balsámicos
We can appreciate balsamic notes and aromas of juniper, thyme, with hints of pepper and herbs. A dry gin with strong and intense aromas.
To my Gin and tonic: The glass ball serve with ice to stop (to fill the glass), with the help of spoon stir shaker ice crystals to cool the glass and remove the water that has been released.
This time I select just a few balls juniper. Time to take Blue Ribbon Gin (short story 1001, 1002 and 1003) from a certain height in order to be oxygenated.
And finally, aided by a spiral spoon, add the tonic, very slowly. This time I choose the Fever Tree tonic which enhance carbon botanists.
Sometimes when I want to go some citrus and soften such as balsamic aromas, add a lemon peel prior Twist. And enjoy!

- Odour: Stresses balsamic aroma, wherein the thyme, juniper and lemon appreciated.
- Taste: Somewhat thick, soft leaves prolonged taste in mouth.
WINEMAKING: obtained by distillation water bath, small still, with quintuple distillation of grain.
Fourteen botanicals used are the basic classical, which has been added one differentiator.
