Chanson Père et Fils Givry 2016

Deep ruby colour. Fragrances of peony and violet mixed with refreshing aromas of ripe blackberries mixed with liquorice. Well-balanced with a generous texture. Sappy with elegant tannins. Refreshing and fruity aftertaste.

Givry 2013
Both robust and fine this wine has a nose of red fruits like blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry as well as earthy aromas of bark, which is typical for this appellation. This Givry can be kept for 5 to 7 years, depending on the storage conditions and vintages, but it is often ripe within 2 or 3 years. Pairs well with game birds or fowl such as pigeon, quail or pheasant. Can also be served with white meat and marinade.

Givry 2013
Variety: Pinot Black
Soil: Clay and limestone
Location: Givry is one of the most famous villages in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, south of Bougogne.
The 2013 Vintage: After a very cold winter, a cool and rainy spring, summer was actually installed in late July. The heat and the sun allowed the grapes to ripen smoothly in good conditions. The harvest started on mid September under a beautiful sun. These climatic conditions coupled with meticulous winemaking and careful aging give wines of great aromatic purity and very crisp.
