- TASTING NOTES: Ruby red color. The nose has aromas of cherries, mint and nutty, with notes of lemon zest, cardamom and toffee. In the mouth flavors of orange, nuts, chocolate and coffee they are appreciated. It ends rather sweet, with notes of lemon and herbs.
- DETAILS OF PREPARATION: Dubonnet Appetizer was first sold in 1846 by Joseph Dubonnet, in response to a competition organized by the French authorities to find a way to persuade the Legionaries of the French Foreign Legion in North Africa taking quinine, since this fighting malaria. It is made by mixing fortified wine, herbs, spices and quinine. Today, Dubonnet it is available in two varieties internationally rouge and blanc, and has become a key ingredient in classic cocktail drinks such as Dubonnet and the kiss.
