On the palate this Deep and dense red with bluish tints. The nose is intense and generous, revealing notes of blueberries and blackberries, followed by delicately toasted notes as the wine opens up. On the palate the 2016 Lirac is broad and concentrated, nice and fresh on entry, with lovely red fruit flavours and powerful, smooth tannins. The finish is long-lingering with slightly smoky notes and develops a touch of liquorice over time. I drank this M. Chapoutier Lirac once with my coworkers.
Nice red Bordeaux colour. Aromas of red fruit jelly, with notes of green pepper. Not the sweetest wine, but kind of.
This wine improved the meal.

4/5

Deep dark red, the nose opens intense, generous and fruity (blueberries and blackberries) and slightly 'toasted' as he continues to unfold. A broad-shouldered palate, concentrated with a fresh impetus with the red fruit is framed by soft tannins. The long finish has a slightly smoky hint of licorice. Michel Chapoutier is oneof Frances's most respected winemakers. Also unique are the labels bearing Braille dots for the visually impaired.
