Description · Château Palmer

2001 Alter Ego de Palmer (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon)

Brilliant and bright, deep ruby color.

The first nose gives aromas of red fruits (raspberries and cherries), followed by woody notes, fresh mint, musk and, after aeration, notes of face powder and violet.

From the beginning, there is a delicious fruity flavor, a soft round tannins frame, with the support of a delicious freshness. We are facing a very elegant wine, well built, with the imposition of a direct and vertical. Their toughness, well controlled, confirms the balance of the components and a finer texture quality. Wine lets us enjoy voluptuous notes of fresh blackberries.

This fruity richness of this 2001 will be at its best (after being decanted) 2015.

Alter Ego de Palmer 2001

TASTING NOTES:
Touch of burnt match amongst blackberry and cassis fruit, still fresh though; medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannins, fresh, four-square and conservative with a lot of dryness on the finish

I love to sharing this wine with friends.
Red as a Cherry. Sure smell of gooseberries. I think it was a little bit salty.
A Alter Ego de Palmer that we had as a dessert of a good meal.
