Château D'Issan 2012

What a wet and complicated spring until mid-July! This required technical adaptations in the vineyard: frequent treatments (rational viticulture - careful choice of phytosanitary products)

Rainfall during flowering caused some climatic impacts such as millerandage and sagging
The Ministry of Agriculture has reported the lowest yields since 1991
From July 1 until the first week of October, the summer was hot and dry
Some days of August reach temperatures close to 40 ° C.

Château d Issan 2012

It was given to us in a wine tasting stand of red.
Cherry colour. It smells toasty . As I do not like these red wines, I noticed it plane in the mouth.
This wine goes well with food.

Reviews about Château D'Issan 2011

The 2011 vintage has a beautiful purple dress. It is a well constructed wine, with a tangy frame that gives it a nice shine. In the mouth, there is a nice roundness to woody notes. Its charm lies especially in its final stretched and well integrated tannins.
Rated 91-93 / 100 by Robert Parker. Drink or keep: 2018 - 2030

It smells like wild berries. Passes easily across the palate, smooth and very nice.
It is a wine with all the character of the Merlot.

Dark red. Great smell of chocolate coulant. I got the impression that it was a well bodied wine.
A accompanying us from starters to dessert.
With my friends we always order Château d'Issan.
