Reviews about Château Durfort-Vivens 2013

4/5
Despite a fall of almost 40% of production, the 2013 vintage largely pulls out of play. Composed of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc, this 2013 vintage is full of finesse and elegance. There is a nice freshness in the mouth, a gourmet tip. The final on it is harmonious.

Wrong colour, reddish brown edges. This red tastes smoky . It is not a sweet wine but has something.
Reviews about Château Durfort-Vivens 2012

4/5
The 55 hectares of vineyards that have the distinction of being composed of several plots, micro-terroirs surrounded by the castle. Regarding varieties, there are 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
As in most of the vineyards where the respect for the land is paramount, the harvest is conducted manually and the wine making is fragmented and specifies for each lot to express its flavors and fragrances. Aging lasts on average 18 months in new oak barrels between 40 and 45% depending on the year, which explains their tannic and structured side.
Château Durfort-Vivens 2012: a perfect combination of softness and freshness
Château Durfort-Vivens The 2012 is a fine and silky wine, elegant and fresh, which presents a bright ruby color with nice garnet highlights. As color presume, its scent is intense and subtle blend of fruits such as morello cherry and plum with white flowers such as lilac, spices like pepper and some light tobacco notes of cigar box.
As for taste, connoisseurs of Margaux recognize its elegance and finesse with a sharp attack and delicate and powerful tannins. A great wine that honors its exceptional terroir.
