Gabriel Ferrière, Royal broker in the eighteenth century, founded the Château Ferrière. The farm is now managed by the Villars family.
The 10 hectares of this Third Crus'étendent on deep Graves, in the commune of Margaux. This is one of the smallest vineyards Grands Crus in 1855. Its vines are composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot.
The wines are aged for 18 to 20 months in barrels (40% new).
This 2012 vintage confirms the will of constant progress of Château Ferrière, and its owner, Claire Villars Lurton. An elegant wine with beautiful tannins.
