Château Ferrière 2012

Gabriel Ferrière, Royal broker in the eighteenth century, founded the Château Ferrière. The farm is now managed by the Villars family.
The 10 hectares of this Third Crus'étendent on deep Graves, in the commune of Margaux. This is one of the smallest vineyards Grands Crus in 1855. Its vines are composed of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot.
The wines are aged for 18 to 20 months in barrels (40% new).
This 2012 vintage confirms the will of constant progress of Château Ferrière, and its owner, Claire Villars Lurton. An elegant wine with beautiful tannins.

Candy aromas. It was harsh in the mouth for a Margaux.
I want more and I will buy it again in Uvinum.

In a tried it in a wine taste.
A beautiful colour. You can appreciate the tobacco smell. The taste was as fresh grapes.
Château Ferrière goes vey well with a very spicy fish .

Red with violet edges. Notes of coffee and wood taste.Predominating aromas of red fruits.
I propose to pair this Margaux with sausages from the same region.
I opened this 2017 with a friend.

Dark cherry colour. The outstanding flavour is of red roses, without any doubt..The taste was like fresh grapes.
We paired it with snacks and we really liked this Margaux.
My best friend recommended it to me.

I thought the Château Ferrière would be perfect for a romantic evening.
A with a nice colour. Strong smell of berries. Slight smoky flavour and very light.
It pairs good with a strong flavoured fish.
