4 /5

The Chateau Margaux covers an area of 87 hectares planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, but the castle keep secret the distribution assembly. Margaux wines are among the most enjoyable and the most aromatic. The whole world want their sweet fruity, spicy and smoky, the distinction of their tannins and balancing acidity and alcohol. Cabernet Sauvignon, emblematic grape of the Médoc covers 60% of the appellation and provides structure, bouquet and aging potential. The wines have a dense color, dark garnet. After breeding, tannic structure is fine, smooth and elegant with a beautiful length. The 1984 vintage was sold en primeur too expensive and ended up at bargain prices in wine fairs to the delight of consumers.

We had it with a tart. Drinking it with friends is always a pleasure.
It had a deep colour at first sight. The 2017 smells like violets. I like the slight roughness it leaves you on the mouth.

Nice red Bordeaux colour. This 2016 has a toffee aftertaste. It reminded me of black plums.
The Margaux Margaux is the ideal wine to pair it with wild boar sausages.
It was part of a wine tasting.
