Description of 1993 Château Margaux

1993 Château Margaux (Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot)

TASTING NOTES:

  • Vista: An interesting nose here, rather than smoke, with notes of iodine, mineral and fresh surf with a small edge of green fruit.
  • Nose: This refers to mature for this wine, which is after all, vintage minor. It has good freshness on the palate, but is not the most expansive wine.
  • Mouth: But having a width and a suitable structure with a close fitting end. Indeed, it has the same concentration of a first growth wine secnd, although only intrinsically good.

Château Margaux

It is difficult to sum up in a few lines the long and splendid history of the estate. It could perhaps be entitled 'There was once an estate called Château Margaux'.

We had it with a tart. Drinking it with friends is always a pleasure.
It had a deep colour at first sight. The 2017 smells like violets. I like the slight roughness it leaves you on the mouth.

Nice red Bordeaux colour. This 2016 has a toffee aftertaste. It reminded me of black plums.
The Margaux Margaux is the ideal wine to pair it with wild boar sausages.
It was part of a wine tasting.

Has a very cheerful colour. Aromas of walnut and hazelnut. It left my tongue like sandpaper.
This wine improved our meal.
At the a friend's wedding.
