2000 Château Margaux (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot)

TASTING NOTES:

Bottle at the end of November 2002, 2000 proved to be a colossal example of Chateau Margaux that tastes even better the bottle was barrel. Only 40% of the 2000 harvest made this Margaux, a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. Stylistically, it is a bit of a hybrid between the lush and opulent, fleshy 1990 and defined and structured, cooler climate taste in 1996. 2000 has a ruby / purple saturated to the rim color, and a very promising nose cream cassis mixed with white flowers, licorice and hints of espresso and toasty oak. There is great intensity, compelling purity, a palate with multilayer body, and a finish that lasts for about 70 seconds +. Flask naturally, unfiltered, is a monumental example of the elegance and power that symbolize this extraordinary vineyard. A tour de force in winemaking, many of my colleagues predicted, long before me, he would be the "wine of the vintage." It is certainly one of the wines of the vintage, but there is a lot of competition, even at this high level of quality Absolutely brilliant time.! 2012-2050. "- Wine Advocate

TASTING NOTES:
Stunning blue, red, and black fruits intermixed with spring flowers, a subtle dosage of new oak; medium-bodied, with layers of concentration, and a distinctive personality that is elegant while at the same time powerful and substantial

We had it with a tart. Drinking it with friends is always a pleasure.
It had a deep colour at first sight. The 2017 smells like violets. I like the slight roughness it leaves you on the mouth.

Margaux Margaux 2016
Nice red Bordeaux colour. This 2016 has a toffee aftertaste. It reminded me of black plums.
The Margaux Margaux is the ideal wine to pair it with wild boar sausages.
It was part of a wine tasting.
