Margaux Margaux 2016

In winter particularly wet and relatively mild, led a bud early enough during the last week of March
The 400 mm of precipitation of the first 3 months of the year helped the groundwater at recover after 2015 rather dry
The close spring rains gave the impression that they were abundant
In fact the combination of these rains did nothing but show the equivalent of the average of last 30 years
The vine was able at Trouvers rare and beautiful sunny days to flower between 6 and 8 June , The contrast with the severe drought summer was not less striking
Only some 8 mm fell in July and August
Although very young plants showed marked signs of water stress, our old vines behaved perfectly, showing us once again at how this plant is endowed with incredible ability to adapt to the climate. ,, Although dry, the summer was not exceptionally hot
Only the second half of August was marked by more intense heat than normal
The combination of these parameters led a fairly spread veraison
September, with dry days and cool nights, allowed the grapes to finish their maturity in the most optimal conditions
The red harvest, the more spread out the history of the area took place from 23/09 to 18/10
Throughout the summer, we feel every day a little more excitement at the idea that a new great vintage loomed. . .

Margaux Margaux 2016

Nice red Bordeaux colour. This 2016 has a toffee aftertaste. It reminded me of black plums.
The Margaux Margaux is the ideal wine to pair it with wild boar sausages.
It was part of a wine tasting.

We had it with a tart. Drinking it with friends is always a pleasure.
It had a deep colour at first sight. The 2017 smells like violets. I like the slight roughness it leaves you on the mouth.

Has a very cheerful colour. Aromas of walnut and hazelnut. It left my tongue like sandpaper.
This wine improved our meal.
At the a friend's wedding.

Chateau Margaux 1º Cru 2015
The best of the meal was this wine. Me and my partner, we celebrated the anniversary of our first kiss with Chateau Margaux 1º Cru.
Especially its colour pleased me . Strong scents of coffee and toffee. I noticed a raspberry flavour.
