Description · Château Rauzan Ségla

1998 Château Rauzan Ségla (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot)

Showing the hue of early maturity here, although there is still some dynamism to it. Nice, nice, with good secondary characteristics of the six or so years in bottle nose. Medium weight on the palate, smooth texture and not fancy, yet elegant style. It has a soft tannin structure and an almost full plump character. Good quality here. Just need a little more time - four to six years - to continue on the path toward developing some very interesting secondary characteristics. It could be very good.

Colour of glacé cherry. Characteristic nuts notes. It has a slightly salty final.
It wasn't well paired with food, but the wine was good and tasty.
A special red wine for someone just as special .

Rauzan Ségla Margaux 2016
I drank it with a connoisseur of wines.
The colour was rather dark red. Smells of wood. Woody flavours.
A red that pairs well with moussaka.
