Formerly, Rauzan-Ségla formed with Château Rauzan-Gassies a single property. Rauzan-Ségla is named after Pierre Measures of Rauzan who bought it in 1661. Rauzan Ségla remained in the same family for two centuries and still belonged almost a century in Bordeaux merchants Cruse. This family continuity, a broken time, seems to be called again from the Wertheimer family (also owner of Chanel) in the acquisiton was in 1994. Meanwhile, this historic believed was quick to express his potential.

At present, Rauzan-Ségla is the wine that most approach with Chateau Margaux, the purest definition of Margaux. Through meticulous work in the winery and vineyards Rauzan Ségla is become a reference.

The 2011 vintage of Château Rauzan-Ségla has undeniable charm skillfully combining elegance and power. The nose offers a nose of black fruits. The palate is fruity, with a superb density of fat and a smooth texture. It will also retain its length worthy of the Great its appellation.Boire or keep: In 4-5 years and also until 2030
PAIRING: Red meat, stewed or grilled

Colour of glacé cherry. Characteristic nuts notes. It has a slightly salty final.
It wasn't well paired with food, but the wine was good and tasty.
A special red wine for someone just as special .
