In the 19th century, on 14 January 1859 to be precise, the château became the property of the Miailhe family. Their ancestor, Leo Barbier, bought the estate for 100,000 francs from the Count and Countess of Toulouse-Lautrec, the grandparents of the famous painter of Parisnightlife Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Thus, it was 4 years after the world-renown 1855 Classification that the estate passed into the ownership of a family of wine professionals.More about the Winery
Reviews of 2016 Château Siran
PAIRING: Hen pheasant with foie gras
A beautiful vivid colour. Coffee aromas. It tasted like licorice.
The Château Siran was far better than the food.
Beautiful cherry colour. Aromas of toffee. This Château Siran is a wine with good acidity.
