This Don PX Gran Reserva 1986 is one of the jewels of Spain. More than a wine, an elixir. It is both silky, sweet and of a nice freshness thanks to its acidity. A mahogany color that astonishes, a richness that should not be missed. Fantastic dessert, a fantastic southern Spanish heritage.

An unbeatable value for money. Perhaps less complex than other Pedro Ximénez but absolutely enjoyable.

Don P.X. Reserva 1988
It had a deep colour at first sight. Not a singularity to highlight, the wine was fine.
I had it at a barbecue party.
In a tasting course we had the pleasure to try.

TASTING NOTES OF 1987 Px Reserva:
- View: black zaino with mahogany trim and dense tears of iodine. reflections of old gold and brown with a glossy black color, almost impenetrable by light, very clean.
- Nose: Datil concentrated aromas, roasted and liquorice, a background of candy, raisins, dates, chocolate and syrup.
- Mouth: dense in its proper place, rather licoroso with a very enveloping sweet step, and an endless slightly bitter finish, balanced sweetness, surprisingly bitter aftertaste, a good fit between notes of dried fruit, toasted and friendly background toffee.

APPELLATION: Montilla-Moriles.
VINES: Toro Albalá
GRAPES: Pedro Ximénez.

WINE PAIRING: desserts, foie gras and cheeses.
