Château Duhart-Milon Rothschild 2007

I lioved the combination of Château Duhart-Milon Rothschild with codfish. I tasted a glass at an organized wine tasting.
Candied cherry-like colour. Vanilla. On the palate reminiscent of leather, slightly burned vanilla.

After many changes of owners, leading to a drop in the quality of the wines, the Rothschild family bought the property in 1962 and carries out important work (drainage, replanting, purchase of plots, ...).
The 76 hectares of Duhart-Milon extend in one piece to the west of Lafite Rothschild, on the hillside of Milo, an extension of Carruades Lafite. The vines are Cabernet Sauvignon (67%) and Merlot (33%). The average age of the vines is 30 years.
The wines are aged in barrels for 10 to 18 months.
This 2012 vintage has played the card of the round, provided by Merlot. A wine's éduisant and greedy.

The 2011 vintage has a very expressive nose that exalts notes of red fruits, currants with a touch tobacco. The mouth is rich, sappy, very round and full of freshness. Its tannins are round and silky, a beautiful material, very elegant.
